Castlewood Elementary School

 

Castlewood Elementary will be raising Brook trout for the 2009-2010 school year.

 

 

 

MAY, 2010

The School year started off raising Brown trout.   Because of the rough winter and summer of the previous year the brook trout eggs where not available when the program kicked off.

 

The brown trout did not survive which resulted in a resupply of brook trout from the Marion Hatchery.

 

They raised the Brook trout until the release date and have a good survival rate with about 200 trout to release into Little Stony Creek on May 20.
