January, 2010
All fish are doing well, pH is low.
December, 2009
All fish survived the Christmas snow storm.
However, water was lost for a couple of days and the
tank got a little dirty.
November 24, 2009
All fish are swimming and moving about the tank freely.
Started feeding them 3 times a day and set up automatic
feeder. Many are actively feeding on the surface.

November 16, 2009
WCYB-TV visited
the school today to film a news story that would feature
Coeburn High and St. Paul Elementary.

October 30, 2009
The majority of
our fish are hatched. The death rate has decreased
daily. There were no dead eggs today. The fish seem to
be very content in their new environment.
We looked at
them under a microscope. They are developing well. We
could see their heart beating.

October 26, 2009
We have counted the eggs and
estimate there are about 540 eggs. We have remove
numerous eggs that have turned white and will develop an egg
count. Eggs basket was lowered a little more into tank
as the eggs are beginning to hatch. Biozyme was added
to tank for the first time.

October 19, 2009
Received eggs from the Marion
hatchery around 11:30AM. Students placed eggs into the
basket and remove dead eggs.
