JW Adams Combined School (Pound) will be
raising Brown trout for the 2010-2011 school year.

The School year started off with
Mrs. Atwood's 5th grade class and 7th grade trout team raising Brown trout.
Because of the rough winter and summer of the previous year
the brook trout eggs where not available when the program
kicked off.
A tragic event that resulted in the death
of all the brown trout did not give the students a good
feeling. However the Marion Hatchery was good enough to
provide the school with a replacement of Brook trout.

They raised the Brook trout until
the release date. The students released the trout into Little Stony Creek on
May 10th.
